Description

Caring for a Ficus Rubber Tree (Ficus elastica) is straightforward. Here are short, simple care instructions:

1. Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Can tolerate some direct sunlight.

2. Watering: Allow soil to dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly, but avoid waterlogging.

3. Humidity: Average indoor humidity is fine. Mist occasionally to increase humidity.

4. Temperature: Thrives in temperatures between 60-75°F (16-24°C). Protect from cold drafts.

5. Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix. A mix designed for houseplants works well.

6. Fertilizing: Feed monthly during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced liquid fertilizer.

7. Pruning: Trim back to control size and remove any dead or damaged leaves. Prune in the spring.

8. Pests: Monitor for pests like spider mites and scale. Treat infestations with insecticidal soap if necessary.

By following these care tips, your Ficus Rubber Tree will thrive and add a touch of green to your indoor space.
