Description

Greater Stitchwort Plug Plants Stellaria holostea

Common names include adder’s meat and milkmaids.

This delicate perennial is a native wildflower often found in woodlands, meadows, and hedgerows in the spring. Known for its large star-like white flowers, greater stitchwort attracts pollinators such as bees and butterflies with its nectar-rich blooms.

Perfect for wildlife gardens, and natural settings, greater stitchwort thrives in moist but well-drained soil and partial shade. A great addition to low-maintenance gardens that support local wildlife.

Our strong, healthy plants are grown in40cc cell traysand are ready to be planted in their final position.

Sourced from native seed and grown for us in the UK, our plug plants are an ideal way to boost species in a wildflower meadow or to easily establish plants in your garden or in areas where seed germination can be erratic.

We recommend planting 5 plugs per metre square in groups of at least 3 per species for a naturalistic look.
