Description

This one is all drama, no diva. Coleus ‘Kong Rose’ is famous for its giant, velvety leaves streaked with raspberry-pink, deep burgundy, and lime green edges. Whether it’s lighting up a shady patio pot or adding a splash of colour to your indoor jungle, Kong Rose knows how to make an entrance.

Perfect for containers, windowsills, mixed planters, or that awkward shady corner — it brings bold tropical vibes without demanding a tropical climate.

Plant Care

Light:
Loves bright, indirect light indoors, or part-shade outdoors. Avoid harsh midday sun, especially outdoors, as it can scorch those stunning leaves.

Watering:
Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Water when the top inch feels dry. It’s a bit thirstier in hot weather or bright indoor spots.

Temperature:
Thrives in 18–28°C. Outdoors, bring it in if nights dip below 10°C — it doesn’t do frost.

Potting:
Use our A Sandy Loam mix for container success — it’s got just the right drainage and structure to keep roots happy.

Hot tips:
Pinch back the tips to keep it bushy and prevent early flowering (unless you like a leggy look). Perfect for pairing with other foliage stunners in mixed pots!

Pet Friendly:
Technically non-toxic, but best kept out of nibbling range for sensitive pets.
